We are proud to announce that Blackwood Engineering has been shortlisted as a regional finalist for the Developing Future Talent category at the Make UK Manufacturing Awards 2026, representing Wales.
Being recognised by Make UK is a fantastic achievement for everyone at Blackwood Engineering and reflects our continued commitment to developing the next generation of talent within manufacturing and engineering. As a growing business, we understand that investing in people is just as important as investing in technology, equipment and processes.
Investing in the next generation
We are passionate about providing opportunities for people to develop their skills, gain practical experience and build rewarding careers within the manufacturing industry. From internships and early-career opportunities to hands-on experience within our engineering, projects and finance teams, we aim to give the next generation the knowledge, confidence and experience they need to progress.
We believe that developing future talent is not simply about filling skills gaps. It is about creating an environment where people can learn from experienced colleagues, take on new challenges and become an important part of the future of the business. By combining practical experience with support and mentorship, we can help young people understand the opportunities available within modern manufacturing.
Proud to represent Wales
The Make UK Manufacturing Awards celebrate the achievements of manufacturers across the UK, with the Developing Future Talent category highlighting businesses that are making a positive contribution to the future of manufacturing through skills and talent development.
We are delighted to be recognised alongside other leading manufacturers in Wales and are proud to be part of a sector that continues to create opportunities for the next generation.
The winner of the Wales Developing Future Talent category will be announced at the Make UK Manufacturing Awards Regional Dinner at Hilton Cardiff on Thursday 12 November 2026.
We’re incredibly proud of our team and everyone who contributes to developing the future talent at Blackwood Engineering. Being shortlisted is a great recognition of that commitment.
