What is the most rewarding aspect of being employed at Blackwood Engineering?
The most rewarding aspect of working here at Blackwood Engineering is being part of a team that always strives to provide the best possible, to help each other when needed and the little pick me ups to keep you going.
What does your role include as Project Administrator for Blackwood Engineering?
My role is split between the Purchasing team and the Project team. For the Project team, my role includes providing administrative support where necessary, and communicating effectively with them as well as our suppliers. The Purchasing side of my role includes maintaining relationships with suppliers, creating and processing purchase orders for goods and services, monitoring the status of those purchase orders and following up if necessary as well as coordinating with internal teams across the board.
What are the biggest challenges the purchasing team has faced in the last 12 months?
I have only been present for last six months and the first half of that I was just settling into my role. The Purchasing team, just like every other team, are constantly challenged, have their own part in the process and are always striving to make the process as smooth as possible.
What challenges are you currently facing and how are you overcoming them?
My role is so versatile and constantly evolving to suit the needs of the business that every week I am learning something new which is a challenge in itself.
How does the purchasing team help deliver the Blackwood Way?
The Purchasing team are committed to their roles and responsibilities, goes above and beyond to ensure we get the results that we want.
