A long standing global machinery supplier tasked Blackwood with producing a bespoke engineered casting to fit the organisations range of articulated haulers.
The customer worked alongside Blackwood to help develop and produce this engineered component which was to act as a pivot for the bucket attachment on their machine.
This steel engineered casting was produced for the customer on-time and on-budget and made to specification in three different weights (14KG, 23KG and 28KG).

Managed Partner Foundries
We manage the supplier production process for our customer and worked alongside our extensive network. Our team ensured that we worked with the most compatible foundry to deliver the pivot casting.
Customised Finishing
Upon delivery of the pivot casting from our partner supplier we gloss painted and finished the product to the customers specification at our European plant in Dilsen-Stokkem, Belgium.
Inventory and Stock Management
The customer utilises the storage facilities available at our Dilsen site storing products which are sent as and when required to meet the customers machine build schedule. We also store and manage buffer stock for this part ensuring there is sufficient stock if there are any fluctuations in demand.
Distribution
We manage the delivery of this product to customer and negotiated several shipping delays to ensure this product was received at our plant on-time. product is stored by Blackwood and distributed across our customers European locations to fit their requirements and lead times.
