An industry leading global supplier of construction machinery tasked Blackwood with producing a compact counterweight for one of its  product ranges small excavators.

Our team worked collaboratively alongside the global OEM to develop this complex weight which was to be used on several of the organisations machines.

The steel counterweight weighed approximately 1T and was made to order bespoke to the customers set criteria and standards.

Managed Partner Foundries

We worked alongside a partner foundry in the Far East who was selected for this project based on the customers material and product requirements.

Customised Finishing

Our European team in Dilsen took delivery of the product and primer finished the counterweight using the customers specified RAL number.

Inventory and Stock Management

We held stock at our Dilsen site to distribute the counterweights to customers on an as/when basis to suit the customers machine build schedule. 

Transportation Services

This product was delivered to our customers who utilised a range of the supply services we provide including shipping to our Belgium site and a combination of lorry/air freight to their European sites.
